Is it ok to be against c-sections?

Me and my family disagree with c-sections, because we were taught that these kind of things are dirty and can make a woman die.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • There can be complications that make normal birth a health risk for the mother. So sometimes c-sections are necessary.

There are a few health risks for both the baby and the mother (premature birth, VBAC), but as far as the woman dying...well. According to webmd it's 2 in 100,000, so really not much of a risk.

You can be against c-sections preformed for morons that are more concerned with "keeping a tight pussy" than their and their children's health. But if it's necessary, it shouldn't be opposed.

  • My wife had our daughter in The Netherlands where there's an almost religious belief that natural births are always wonderful.

She nearly died due to complications. Nine years on, she's still suffering from the damage caused by the birth. We're certain that, if she had given birth in the UK, she would have been advised to have a Cesarean and the birth and aftermath would have been much more positive.

      • Yeah, I'm not entirely sure, but being against c-sections is like saying you're against having any surgery that could possibly save your life. The only thing left to do is ask OP if he'd rather a woman die in childbirth than have a c-section when medically necessary.

Besides some random guy talking shit about c-sections is like having some woman start ranting about prostate issues.
