Is it okay ? im sleeping only 2 hours per day

I have to sleep only 2 hours because im working and i have to go
to school so i dont have much time to sleep.

ım working on nights so

08:00 Job finish
08:30 Start sleep
11:00-17:30 school
19:00 sleep again
23:30 to 08:00 go work

Is It OK To?

  • You're obviously already adversely affected by lack of sleep because you can't add up properly. That's more than 2 hours out of 24, but still not enough and I find it hard to believe you're asleep exactly half an hour after finishing work.

    Anyway, it's a very unhealthy schedule and you won't be able to do it for long: your studies, your work and/or your health will suffer and probably all three.

  • Night-work is inherently evil.

    Obviously, there are some jobs where it's absolutely necessary for people to work at night - healthcare and emergency services are the two obvious ones - but usually people are required to work at night simply to maximise the wealth of others who keep to normal working hours. Expensive equipment that sits idle for two-thirds of the working week and all weekend is seen as not being used efficiently by the bean-counters, so some poor bastard has to be there to use it 24-7.

    There is solid research that working at night and sleeping in little snatches seriously screws up the human body and brain. We evolved to be awake during daylight hours and rest when it's dark, and those rhythms are deeply ingrained in us. If you fuck with them for an extended period, you have an increased risk of all sorts of physical illnesses, as well as mental health problems.

    I assume you're young, and a healthy, youthful body can absorb a lot of abuse before there are any obvious consequences. And what you're doing now is abusing your body.

    You may be unable to see any options right now that can let you achieve what you want to, but it's almost certain that you aren't performing optimally either in school or on the job.

    Sleep is not an optional extra; it's something that our bodies and brains need, and intentionally depriving yourself of long, undisturbed periods of sleep will result in you paying a price sooner or later.

    • Why dont you start a fortune 500 company and run it the noble way? It's always people that dont have companies that talk about how they should be run. If the company does not make profits even the nightshift workers suffer. The whole point in a company is for it to make profits. If it doesnt no one has a job and the country doesnt get taxes.

  • When I worked in a slaughter house I was sleeping like this. I was popping them high caffeine no doze pills or wateva the f they were called. I don't know how I did it. Don't actually remember it even affecting me in a negative way.

    • Memories are funny things. Maybe you coped okay with the lifestyle you describe, but maybe your brain was so frazzled that you didn't even realise some seriously weird shit was going on in your head, and that's what you remember of that period.
